rebost

Rebost is a strand of the programme managed autonomously and collectively by the members of La Escocesa, who decide the activities they want to organise according to the interests and needs of the group.

The public activities that have been carried out by Rebost are:

Some proposals are internal for members. Here are some examples of activities that have been carried out:

TaperFecto (2025)

TaperFecto was a cycle of three Sunday gatherings dedicated to collective cooking and the exchange of culinary knowledge as a practice of socialization and care. The initiative invited members, residents, and people from the surrounding community to come together in the kitchen of La Escocesa to prepare dishes and weekly meal containers, exploring food as a space for encounter and reflection.

Each session was structured around a thematic focus —Surplus, Self-care and Caring for Others, and Ritual— and combined the preparation of seasonal vegetarian recipes with moments of conversation and shared learning. The second session featured the collaboration of naturopath Ester Alemany, who led a workshop on anti-inflammatory cooking.

The project helped consolidate La Escocesa’s kitchen as a space for shared living, creating bonds through the everyday practice of eating and fostering community dynamics based on collaboration, sustainability, and mutual care.

Casa de tintes (2025)

La Casa de los tintes (The House of Dyes) was born out of a collective interest in the practice and experimentation of natural dyes. The first catalyst was a theoretical/practical and experimental workshop entitled Relational Dyeing with Friendly Plants and Other Bodies at La Escocesa, led by artist Solange Dalannais.

It provided an introduction to the world of dyes, teaching ways to recognize the dyeing capacity of bodies and their application to natural fibers, using plants that grow at La Escocesa, its surroundings, and food waste.

Some of the activities that have been born in the Rebost have been consolidated as part of the programme of La Escocesa, such as the Cineclub and Consultori.
