barcelona dibuixa

the healing power of the family tree through the twists of an elliptical memory

As part of Barcelona Dibuixa, our member and former resident Thilleli Rahmoun proposes this workshop, which begins with the following questions: What role does personal mythology play? How can one work with the family tree and its periphery—its outlines, frameworks, transitions, and transmutations? How can we approach the "off-screen/unspoken" at the heart of our own genealogical tree?

The aim of the workshop is to explore the theme of memory through an artistic lens. We will focus on giving graphic form to possible responses linked to this reflection. Through various drawing techniques, we will explore deliberately complex spaces that resist linear interpretation. At the same time, staged scenarios will emerge that invite opposites to coexist.
