RADIAL RADIANT is a transdisciplinary and hybrid art collective created in Barcelona by Silvia Renda and Erica Volpini.Radial Radiant utilizes the Art Book device, with special attention to the research and creation of books on artistic processes. Radial Radiant envisions workshops as sites of collective research emphasizing participatory practices and informal education. Books on artistic processes are graphic translations of practices beyond documentation that can contain scattered notes for the taking on the path of creation.
Radial Radiant’s interest in the process springs from a need to understand and value the “how”: the journey, the methods, and the relationships.
The workshops and dynamics aim to provoke embodied and emotive reflection, and debate beyond the discursive.
The duo explores different informal methodologies, combining those from art and educational fields.
Radial Radiant anchors in dialogue and into the material, as a counterpart of the immaterial and the abstract. The collective seeks to form healthy relationships, collaborate, share, investigate, question, grow, value vulnerability, and disfruting!
