Born in 1982 in Majdal Shams, in the occupied Syrian Golan Heights, Shada Safadi began her artistic career studying painting and printmaking at the Adham Ismail Institute in Damascus. Later, she graduated from the University of Damascus with a degree in Fine Arts.
Her works have participated in several exhibitions in Syria, Palestine, Sweden and the United Kingdom. Notable in this tour is his participation in the Syrian Cultural Caravan, in which he exhibited his works throughout Europe. In 2014, Safadi held an artistic residency at the Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris, and recently, he exhibited at the Metelkova Museum of Contemporary Art in Slovenia with the show “What does the crocodile dream of?”.
She also collaborated with Akram al Halabi on the two-person exhibition “Mist” at Zawyeh Gallery in Ramallah in 2022; and was an art resident at the Alserkal Art Foundation in Dubai in 2023. He currently resides and works between his hometown in the occupied Golan Heights and Ramallah in occupied Palestine.
