semillero del chthuluceno

with Helen Torres

This workshop is an exercise to examine inherited terms and to work on the generation of new concepts that can disrupt capitalist, colonialist, and catastrophist discourses that shape the imaginary of the Anthropocene. Which words do you want to correct? Which words do you want to (re-)signify? Which words do you want to reclaim?  Which ones are missing? I will present the preliminary phase of the Semillero del Chthuluceno project, an illustrated glossary grounded in conversations with resident artists at La Escocesa, and we will create new entries for this “dictionary” of a timespace that was, still is, and might yet be.
