no quiero ser un hotel emerged from desde este ahora, a series of events organized by La Escocesa, hablarenarte and Idensitat between 2023 and 2024.

It is a reflection on our work and experiences in artist residencies, as well as on our relationship with the artists and the context.

These pages bring together some familiar voices, as well as our feelings and hopes regarding everything we do to make these residencies happen and give them meaning.

I Don’t Want to Be a Hotel emerged from the desde este ahora series at Fabra i Coats. Fabrica de Creació de Barcelona in July 2023, at the Monastery of the Immaculate Conception (Loeches, Community of Madrid) in September 2023, at Cal Gras (Avinyo, Barcelona) in November 2023, and at Azala (Lasierra, Álava) in June 2024.
