Maya Pita-Romero is a visual artist graduated in Fine Arts at the Centro Universitario de Artes TAI in Madrid. Through installation or sculpture, her work explores the transformations of ecosystems and the relationships between organisms to imagine new non-anthropocentric models of coexistence. Her work seeks imaginaries and forms of care that rethink contemporary relationships. Her artworks are constructed from organic elements and biomaterials that change, ferment and decompose over time. She has participated in the group exhibition Extensión Zero at the Círculo de Bellas Artes in Madrid and has collaborated in the production of different exhibitions by Gabriel Alonso, Maloles Antignac and the Institute of Postnatural Studies.
