fototerrat. the transformed image

This workshop, conducted by Marta Sellarés, proposes, through three sessions, to introduce us to the work in the photographic laboratory and the use of the enlarger and silver gelatin printing as a medium through which to experiment with the creation, manipulation, and reinterpretation of images. Each session will focus on a part of the photographic process (the negative, the exposure, and the development) proposing an exercise of experimentation through which to delve into the variants and creative possibilities of each of these phases of work.

About Marta Sellarés:

Calatayud, 1996. Graduated in Fine Arts at the University of Barcelona (UB), she combines teaching and the development of her personal projects. Through photography, she explores the territory as a thread from which to find a unique look at what surrounds us, referring to memory, to the emotion rooted in space and in search of the unusual that surrounds the human experience itself. Her projects "La casa de piedra" and "Donde no nos vean" have been exhibited nationally and internationally within-group and solo shows since 2018. In 2021, Ediciones Anómalas published "La casa de piedra" in photobook format. This same work became part in 2021 of the collection of the Arxiu Nacional de Catalunya.
