(Caracas, 1987) Artist and clinical psychologist with a psychoanalytic orientation. She studied Psychology at the Central University of Venezuela, contemporary photography at the International Center of Photography in New York and predoctoral studies in Arts, Pedagogy and Social Transformation at The European Graduate School in Switzerland.
Her practice addresses the relationship between art and mental health, assuming different roles and places of enunciation. She is interested in narration as a form of subjective construction of the Other, through media such as voice, writing and visual image. In this way, her work is manifested through video essays, vocal actions and poetic writing, pedagogical processes and listening mechanisms typical of clinical practice.
In recent years she has published her first book with the essay “Voces de un lugarimpossible” which was awarded the 1st Prize for Essay on ApplicationsArt therapeutics by the María José Jove Foundation in A Coruña Spain. She was awarded the La Escocesa Research and Experimentation Scholarship in art (2018) where she developed the publication “Policies of pedagogy in art”, at the Valls Biennial he received the Guasch-Coranty Prize (2017) with his photographic installation “Alcatraz” and Fundación Foto Colectania has been selected in the DocField photobook contest with its project “Retornos”.
She was a resident artist at the Santa Mònica Art Center, in the area of mediation and education from 2021 to 2023. She currently works as an independent mediator and educator in places such as the Manifesta 2024 Biennial, Can Felipa Art Center and Fundación Surt.
