Testimonies is a book by Golrokh Nafisi that collects illustrations and posters from 2009 to the present. Each of them belongs to a popular revolt or a moment in the lives of ordinary people that shaped those revolts.

In the words of the author: “Each of these posters was made quickly and in the midst of collective and revolutionary events. At times when people needed to believe in themselves. [...] The first time I looked at the prints side by side in the workshop of La Escocesa, I saw them as a visual report for my peers. A visual report of what lives in the memory of our bodies.”
 

Testimonies has texts by Golrokh Nafisi, Asef Bayat, Jonas Staal, Giulia Crispiani, Sumayya Kassamali, Elham Rahmati and Rime Naguib.

Design by Ahmadali Kadivar and printing was carried out by Golrokh Nafisi and Ahmadali Kadivar.

Testimonies is one of the projects selected in the call for "(self-)publishing in risography - La Escocesa 2023".
