The interdisciplinary artistic practice of Alba García i Allué (Barcelona, 1997) focuses on the conception of all corporality as a space mediated by the political and the social. She works with the cultural limits of what constitutes an object as a particular and independent entity of the environment and the relational links that we establish with the different material hierarchies. She is interested in the contents that define a continent as a perimeter and the “larval” elements that cross it, producing its metamorphosis. Currently her main points of interest are the metaphor as a place of indifference between bodies and the story as a diffuser of the fiction of the real. She works with installation, sculpture, performance, the audiovisual media and drawing. Alba is familiar with collective creative production by participating in some self-managed work groups, giving creation workshops and working as a teacher. She has resided in other art spaces such as Homesession and Ca la Dona.
