We present 7 years of waiting, 24 hours of notice, 7 days of life, a parenting diary by artist, educator and father Christian Fernández Mirón. 224 pages of texts and drawings recounting the first two years of an upbringing outside the norm, adoptive and in an LGTBI+ family. Challenges, reliefs, doubts, reflections, anecdotes and learnings give shape to a story as personal as it is recognisable, produced by hand thanks to La Escocesa's Call for Publication Grants in Risography 2023.
Copies will be on sale, a vermouth will be offered and there will be a play area for families.
Christian Fernández Mirón works and learns with projects that move between the artistic, the educational and the social through critical pedagogies, community mediation, curatorial activism and inclusive language. She works both in independent and self-managed contexts and with related institutions, mainly in Spain, the UK, Colombia and the Dominican Republic.
