Dónde está mi casa (“Where Is My Home”) is an exploration by Chica Acosta inspired by Anna Akhmatova’s poem of the same name. The project unfolds through writing, recording samples, and experimenting with various hybrid performance formats, which Acosta has previously presented.

On this occasion, the exploration incorporates live vocals and the creation of vocal and sound loops, generating a listening space in which different layers, voices, and textures enter into dialogue and construct choral conversations.

The SEC (Sesiones de Escucha Colectiva) are a space to experience deep listening from a physical dimension. More than just hearing, it is about collectively inhabiting the practice of listening as a tool for connection, reflection, and sensory exploration.

Guided by guest artists, each session offers sound journeys that invite attentive, immersive, and expanded perception of sound.

SEC arises from the desire to pause and share a moment of listening, expanding our perception of sound beyond the audible and generating a collective sound experience from the body.

Chica Acosta (Mónica Gómez Vesga) is a music researcher, poet, and DJ based in Barcelona, where she explores the boundaries between poetry and music through her artistic practice. She is currently conducting research on the origins of Afro-Caribbean raizal music and on the drum as a totem of the African diaspora. She is a resident DJ at Canino FM, where she hosts llora nena llora, a program dedicated to creating soundscapes that blend poetry and electronic experimentation.

SEC (Sesiones de Escucha Colectiva) is part of REBOST, a program line managed autonomously and collectively by the members of La Escocesa, who decide on the activities they want to organize in relation to the interests and needs of the group.
