Cultural worker, co-founder of the collective and in(ter)dependent space La Sala. She is currently researching the possibilities of permaculture as a methodology in contemporary art, as part of the Jerwood Arts 2020 creative support programme (UK). During 2021-22 she is developing the project "fantasmas que circulan" as part of the NO EXPO programme at the Museo Reina Sofía, Madrid. In 2019 she was part of the curatorial team of FotoNoviembre'19 at TEA, Tenerife. Between 2015 and 2018 she was curator of the Public Programmes and Research department at Nottingham Contemporary (UK), where she initiated cross-cutting collective processes around institutional analysis, ecology and mental health.

Bachelor and Master in Isia Urbino, Miur High Artistic formation in Design, Art Direction, Illustration and Photography. Erasmus at Escola Massana in Barcelona. Co-founder of the multidisciplinary workshop "Taller Paquita", where she develops experimental projects with ceramic sculpture, design, manual printing techniques and painting.Programmer and cultural producer with experience in the management of exhibition spaces, concerts, design and music festivals, etc. She has been part of the organization of several events such Acció Cultura Viva, Fabra i Coats and Gutter Fest. She also plays the bass and screams in the punk rock band Sandré.

Degree in Fine Arts and Master in Contemporary Philosophy. In its role of cultural worker it has been part of DIY projects such as Imprenta Can Batlló and institutional projects as curator in “Dozing on the accidental provocation” (Centre d'Arts Santa Monica, 2022). In her artistic practice she has participated in artistic collectives and in numerous publishing projects, also in exhibitions: “desire is a line that does not end” (La Panera, 2023), “The Night of the Body” (Bombon Project, 2019), “Soil Policies” (Maristany Art Center, 2019), “Páginas Amigas” (Las Naves, 2019), “Herselves” (Blueproject Fundation, 2016).

 

Pablo Santa Olalla

He is a researcher and holds a PhD in Art History and a degree in Fine Arts. Among other academic activities, he has been a resident researcher at the MACBA (Barcelona), the MNCARS (Madrid) and the MAC USP (São Paulo), and has completed a post-doctorate at the Instituto de História da Arte of the Universidade Nova de Lisboa.   Outside the university, she is interested in curating, art archives and cultural management. She has collaborated with the curatorial studies seminar On Mediation, and also with the Assocació Arxiu Muntadas. Centre d'Estudis i Recerca (ARXIU/AM).

Degree in Fine Arts and Masters in Artistic Research and Production. Her work has received the awards Sala d'Art Jove 2021, Premis Barcelona 2020, FACBA'22, I Ayuda a la producción 2020 de la Fundación BilbaoArte, grants for research and innovation in the field of visual arts of OSIC, XXXIV Muestra de Arte Joven en La Rioja, INICIARTE, III Convocatoria Sala d'Arcs for exhibition project at the Fundación Chirivella Soriano and the XIV Certamen Internacional de Artes Plásticas del CEC, among others. Since 2014 her works and projects have been shown in artcenters such Matadero Madrid, PIVÔ Brasil, Blueproject Foundation, La Capella Barcelona, CAC Málaga, CAAC Sevilla and C3A Córdoba.

In her communication role, she has experience in management, graphic and web design in gallery and cultural environments.

María Roy

She is an artist who uses critical design, along with traditional and experimental craft techniques to explore new narratives to move away from a culture of exploitation and abuse of the environment to one that proposes opportunities to relate in an egalitarian and immersive way to species and the environment. Her main subject of study is the earth, as living matter that speaks of history, politics and ecology, and she works with the material remains she encounters to make ceramic sculptures. She graduated in 2016 in Arts and Design at the Escola Massana in Barcelona and in 2020 she finished the Master in Design and Research "Material Futures" at Central Saint Martins in London. The final project of her master Hollow Earth, has been exhibited in different countries including the "Dutch Design Week" (Holland, 2021) and the Whitechapel Gallery in London.

María is currently teaching at the Arts and Design Degree at the Escola Massana and shares her knowledge of ceramics at La Escocesa.

Performative arts worker assitant in the areas of creation, education and management in the Southern Cone (Chile). Founder of Continuo Movimiento, an educational project of training and corporal study that investigates the philosophy of movement from an interdisciplinary and performative point of view. She has a degree in arts with mention in acting; in education with mention in theater pedagogy, a diploma in dance and is currently pursuing a Masters in Visual Arts and Education at the UB. Her interests also include the possible intersections between art and activism in public spaces as a mean of protest and political denunciation with themes related to eco-feminism, new corporealities and memory.
