birds that no longer want to emigrate

closing of artist Shada Safadi's residence

Since April, the artist Shada Safadi, from the occupied Golan Heights, has been in residence at La Escocesa as part of the Emergency Residency Program 2025 for Artists and Cultural Workers in Palestine promoted by the TEJA network.

As a closing of this residence, we invite you to a meeting in which Shada will present part of her work in the framework of the research Birds that no longer want to emigrate. Her research combines folklore with environmental and ecological issues in a context of colonization, reflecting on the geopolitical reality of Palestine and the region.

The day will also feature the participation of Haneen Ayoub, musician and singer of the band Hawa Dafi, also from the occupied Golan Heights.
